Head Heating and Air Conditioning is a community-focused HVAC business that is both locally owned and family operated, situated in beautiful Forsyth, GA. Being residents of Monroe County with our five children, we are deeply engaged in our church and community. Several family members are proud to be part of our company. Our well-trained staff, from the friendly secretaries who handle scheduling to our skilled service technicians diagnosing your a/c system issues, installation crews replacing your a/c unit and ductwork, and managers providing quotes, all work together to ensure a great experience. Greg Head has lived in Forsyth all his life. After graduating from Mary Persons High School, he entered the HVAC industry immediately and earned his Diploma in Air Conditioning Technology from Macon Technical College (now Central Georgia Technical College-CGTC). While in school, he proudly secured First Place in the HVAC Division at the VICA State Competition, representing us at the National VICA Competition in Kansas City, MO, in 1998. Greg married his high school sweetheart in 1999, and they have enjoyed a happy marriage ever since. Our family established Head Heating and Air Conditioning in 2008, initially operating from our home as we grew. In 2015, we purchased land in the Monroe County Industrial Park and began building our shop, officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the fall of 2016. Greg also completed the 2016 Leadership Monroe Class to become an active community member through various events and committees. Since his appointment in 2016, Greg has contributed to the Monroe County Development Authority, which aims to foster industrial growth. He was honored with the Small Business of the Year Award in 2016 by the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and recognized as the 2017 Businessman of the Year by the Monroe County Reporter. In 2018, he was elected by voters to the Monroe County Board of Education, where he has since been an advocate for the trades industry and for the students and staff of the BOE. 

Our life in Monroe County enables us to be actively involved in the community. We participate in our local church, serve as youth Sunday School teachers, volunteer for the Choosing the Best Program at Mary Persons, and are proud members of the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and the Monroe County Development Authority. Greg serves as the Chairman of the Monroe County Board of Education while also being recognized as the local 'Cat in the Hat.' Our participation in the annual Hometown Holidays Parade and support for the Forsythia Festival, along with several local sports teams, brings us immense joy as small business owners. Our Christmas Parade float has become a local favorite, winning first place multiple times over the years. In May 2012, we were honored with the Friend of Education Award from Monroe County Schools.
